Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy and my burden is light.” Mathew 11:28-30

About Me

My photo
Love to Life is made up of Women from different churches, cities, counties, and even states. Although these things may be different we maintain the same Kingdom and Biblical values and principles. Love to Life serves with a vision to Inspire and Uplift women. We understand that Women are daughters, mothers, sisters, grandmothers, aunts, etc. With that said we have the potential to affect not only the world around us but generations to come. There is no mistake that we must be healthy; physically, mentally, emotionally and most importantly spiritually. It is our intention to reach out, build up, and work with Women to help advance and enrich the World at large. We believe it starts with inspiring Hope and uplifting through Faith in God and our Savior Jesus Christ.

Here's the Latest...

In August I posted some info but I felt the need to further elaborate on this 2016 year for Love to Life. Primarily because I value your support and prayers over the course of the past few years. Without you we would not have been able to be the light in times of darkness for many. That is why I want to be sure to keep you up to date on the current status of this ministry.

As I stated, my family was been blessed with the arrival of  baby boy Rodriguez #4! His name is Nathan Daniel, he is now 6 months old and has really been a joy. It's amazing how we can think that we are complete and then God shows us another piece to the puzzle of our lives and changes everything!

But I am not going to lie to you, this was not expected and I was not mentally ready to accept this addition.  I felt that I had just gotten a handle on my life and was understanding the direction it was heading into. I had landed a great job that allowed me to serve my community. Love to Life was moving forward, and my kids were becoming more and more independent. So imagine when morning sickness began and my body felt the pains and wear and tear of 2 past pregnancies, not to mention one of which was twins. It was tough. As time went moving along my time and strength felt minimal. It wasn't until I felt him in my arms and looked at his tiny face that I realized that I needed him and most importantly this world needed him.

My job at the school as a Parent Liaison, also opened up my appetite to continue my education. When I left Kean University in Spring of 2000, I always knew that I would go back. I always said, "I don't care how old I am, I will walk across that stage." Working within my community and realizing the needs, I felt the responsibility more than ever to do more but also felt the limitations of not holding a degree. I have a deep desire to change things and I believe this is necessary for me in order to do so. Glory to God, this summer I was able to begin the journey towards this goal.

Balancing home life, work, and my involvement in my local church still finds me with the Love to Life burden. And when I say burden it is not a bad thing. It is a longing to reach the people in a way that my job does not allow me to do so. Openly- Bringing the REAL hope to the hopeless and setting the captives free. This has been charged unto me.

With all this said, Love to Life is NOT finished nor does it cease to exist. Love to Life isn't simply another organization, it is who we are. The name Love to Life came about while women who believed in this vision stood in a living room and prayed for God to guide them in their endeavors to reach for his will. The spirit of the Lord revealed to us on that day that we would Love them back to Life. I believe that.

So this season may seem still and quiet. It is a time of sowing. My education will be a tool for this ministry and I believe God is working things out in the background.

Although we have been unable to do our social events and missed our spring visit and back to visit to the shelter, we have helped some families in need this year with previous funds donated and with your support. We do intend on ending this year with our Annual Christmas outreach.

Greeting and Summer Update

God Bless All! I know its been quite some time since my last communication. Many have asked, "Are you still doing Love to Life? We haven't heard from you." Well I don't think you can really stop serving in what God has called you to. I have shared that what God has called this ministry to is to bring hope to the hopeless and Love people back to Life. But I do believe there are seasons for different things. Quiet seasons, seasons that seem fast paced, seasons of change and development. Or seasons where we have to focus on something that may not seem pertinent to what you should be doing but all the long God is doing things behind the scenes!

My family and I recently welcomed baby boy number 4 into our home. I also went back to finish my degree in order to further my ministry. All the while, I still have this burden or feeling that Love to Life is  in the background.

As a mother my primary ministry is my children and  my home. Everything is second to this. I have a responsibility to my home church as well. I am blessed not only to serve as Church Administrator but also serve as a teacher in our Bible Institute. My desire remains in visiting shelters, giving to those in need, and sharing in the things of the Lord with brethren.

I continue to pray for wisdom and strategy from the Lord in regards to Love to Life and I ask you to join me in this.

In the mean while, thanks to your previous support and donations, we recently purchased book bags for an event within our community. The book bags have been filled with school supplies donated by Surge Youth Ministry and will be distributed to families in Perth Amboy's National Night Out.

We are also collecting school supplies for our annual visit to the Ozanam Shelter. Here is a list of Supplies we are collecting:

  • Pencils
  • Erasers
  • Sharpeners
  • Safety Scissors
  • Glue sticks
  • Notebooks
  • Pens
  • Crayons

We also will except monetary donations to purchase items needed. Contact me directly at to donate via credit/debit card.

If you have any questions please feel free to contact me!!!

God bless you all and have a safe and blessed summer!

Holiday Fun

Happy November and very soon to be Happy Thanksgiving to you all!

Our 2015 Harvest Social was a success and I would love to thank all those that participated. We spent time in the presence of our King. We were blessed with the anointing of Relentless Mime Ministry, Juleesa Velez's vocals, and Lucienne Kilpatrick's poetry. God blessed us with a word on perseverance and last but certainly not least we were able to raise funds to further our ministry outreach efforts.

As for myself, as excited as I am in coordinating and executing this event with the L2L team, I also welcome the calm of what follows. That is, the holiday season. I turn aside from the hustle and bustle and focus on my family, baking, cooking, and spending time with my loved ones. I enjoy the weather, the holiday smells of cinnamon, pumpkin, and apples. Chilly afternoons and cozy weekends with my little loves .This particular season I have all the more reason to "take it easy" as my family and I are expecting a new surprise:

Number 4  is on the way! God has blessed our family and when I look back at the beginnings of this blog and this ministry, I am in awe at what God has done in our lives. Jesus has changed me from the inside out. He changed my heart, my attitude, and my desires- then all else followed. Material needs isn't what life is about but it sure does make the load lighter. He has supplied us not only with his peace, love, and joy but also in what my family needs in order to succeed for each season we encounter.

Please do not be fooled, our life isn't always picturesque- we have our moments (ok... many moments) of disagreements, frustration, sadness, confusion, and all those other things! But the difference is the perspective that God gives us at these times. We manage to refocus, reconsider, and redirect. Joy always comes in the morning, and the old passes away and lessons are learned. Praise and glory to God for it all! I pray that you all find this within your own lives and I welcome you to reach out to me if you need encouragement at any time. We can all use it at some time or another.

During this time Love to Life is beginning to collect for our Annual Christmas shelter visit. We are collecting the following items:
  1. Toys for children (already gift wrapped- contact us for ages and genders)
  2. Women's Toiletries:
  • Shampoo/Conditioner
  • Lotion
  • Toothbrushes/tooth paste
  • scrunchies
  • razors
  • body spray
  • body wash/Loofahs
  • tampons/pads
  • Things that women need for personal maintenance
We will also be providing a meal so if you are interested in helping with the menu please contact us directly for more information.

God doesn't only call for giving during the Holidays his word says:

Do not neglect to do good and to share what you have, for such sacrifices are pleasing to God.
Hebrews 13:16

Should we only do these things during Christmas, of course not it should be ALL year. But during this season of thanks, let us not forget from where our treasures come from. Let us do what is pleasing to him. Let us be his hands and feet, ambassadors of his love.

If you have any questions please contact me directly at 732-766-5199 for more information!

Priorities, Plans, and Grace

Happy August to you all! I hope that your summer has been blessed and full of fun in the sun and joy in the Lord.

On a personal note, I am enjoying my summer off. If you don't already know God has blessed me with work within the school system. I have the blessing of having the summers off with my boys. I was a stay at home mom for 5 years before this, so being home again in the past month has allowed me to fully gain perspective on the life of a stay at home mom vs. a working mom. Both are challenging yet so gratifying. I love my work. Connecting with families in my community, within the educational arena, is a blessing and an honor. It has served as a great inspiration for my life. But being able to be home and enjoy precious moments with my babies is a great joy.

With that said, this year has been a year of change for my family. Managing time and activities has been a challenge. And to be completely honest, I don't know that I have it all figured out. But I believe that God has given me these things and that he will continue to guide me in what he has called me to do. We all have a list of priorities and for me I imagine different compartments, sections, and departments of my life. For me it is: home (husband and children), ministry (my home church and Love to Life), work, family and friends. And there is supposed to be balance right??? In last year's harvest event the speaker stated, sometimes God wants to blur the lines that we have created. That thought has resonated in my spirit since. I can almost understand what she meant. I said almost understand it because I would be lying if I said I have it all figured out. What I do see is that as we try to balance and "work it all out" we get disappointed when we fall short. We worry about whether or not we are neglecting things at home, we ask ourselves questions like "am I doing what it takes to be effective in the work place, am I fulfilling my purpose within the body of Christ, and am I managing my relationships according to God's will?" Enter Grace.

But he said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.” Therefore I will boast all the more gladly of my weaknesses, so that the power of Christ may rest upon me.
2 Corinthians 12:9
God knows your heart, he knows mine. We are not called to perfection but we are called to walk in his ways whole heartedly. Through this our desires align with his will, then we move forward in all things to honor him. The things that we can not do or what we fall short of, he makes right with his grace. It is sufficient. As long as we continue to pursue him in our daily life, he will give us the strategies to maneuver the route and manage the blessings.
With that said, I wanted to take the opportunity to give a ministry update. Several things on the Love to Life calendar have been canceled and/or postponed. This is a reflection of God working within the L2L team. I believe he is clarifying, strengthening, and defining his will. We do however have several projects that we will not deviate from:
Annual Back to School Outreach: This is scheduled for September 5, 2015. We will be collecting the following items or will accept monetary donations in order to benefit the Families at the Ozanam Shelter:
  • pencils
  • sharpeners
  • erasers
  • crayons
  • pencil bags
  • safety scissors
  • glue sticks
  • small note pads
  • anything school related that can fit in a basic pencil pouch or bag.
We will also be serving dinner on that day to the families so if you are interested in cooking or donating please let me know.

Love True Trek Against Trafficking 5K: This will be the second year that we support this event. Love True is committed to rescuing victims of sex trafficking. They are working towards opening the first home in NJ for these victims. For more information or to sign up please inbox me. And no you don't have to RUN the 5K you can walk or do both if you'd like!

SAVE THE DATE!!!! ANNUAL HARVEST EVENT: November 7th we will be hosting our Annual Harvest Event. Please be sure to separate this day to join L2L and a group of amazing Women like yourself. This event serves as a statement of UNITY within the body of Christ. Although we come from different countries, communities, churches, etc., on this day we unite in Jesus name for one cause and that is to support the endeavor to bring the message of  hope in Jesus to the lost. Please don't miss out, I promise you will be blessed! Tickets can be purchased by visiting our tickets and donations page.
I thank you all for your continued support and I pray peace, love, and joy to each one of you!

Just a note

Good Day Beautiful Women! I wanted to take this time just to reach out and say hello. I have been feeling the need and the desire to write to you all you, or maybe it has just been a desire to write period. With all the things that have been going on, I have felt it increasingly difficult to sit down and just write.

Although things may seem quiet in regards to Love to Life, I can assure you that plenty is happening. Our book club has launched, and we are readily preparing for other events and outreaches already scheduled for 2015. As they continue to draw near, we will keep you informed. In the mean time, although you may not have committed to our book club, please feel free to stop by a meeting if you want to fellowship, just need prayer, or to hear a good Word. Our meeting dates this month are March 7th and 21st.

We also have had much activity in our Florida Chapter, who just had a very successful Bowling Fundraiser. They are well on their way! Stay tuned, because as God continues to glorify himself through this extraordinary group of Women we will testify!

On  a more personal note, I continously seek guidance from the true founder of this vision. I will ask you to join me in believing for the movement of those with a heart to reach the hopeless. I pray for the boldness needed to fulfill the calling the Lord has placed upon each and every one of us, collectively and individually. I ask that you pray for me, that is, for a clarity of purpose, not only as a servant to this vision, but within the other arenas the Lord has seen fit to place my feet upon.

There isn't a day that goes by that I don't think about the amazing collection of women that I am so thankfully connected to. Whether we met in school, work, fellowship, or just share a mutual friend, you are indeed thought of with much regard and I anticipate the day we will come together again for the benefit of Christ's Kingdom.

Please be sure to contact me with any thoughts, ideas, revelations, testimonies, or anything else you see fit to share.

May his Peace, Love, and Joy reign over you!

Happy New Year!

2014 has truly been a year of open doors for my home. I am humbled when I see what God has done in my life. His endless grace and mercy over me is almost unspeakable. I am in awe of my God. Where he has taken me from and what he has entrusted me with... well words could never be enough. All I could do is praise him and give him Glory and Honor.

I often mention that I always look back at the end of my year and ask am I in a better place then I was last year? My answer is yes. ...God answered my husband's and my prayers for stability in regards to our careers. And where NOTHING in this life is guaranteed, we were both granted solid jobs, with solid hopes for our future and our children's future. He placed me in a position where I can use my passion and desire to serve others. And within all of this he has given me a glimpse of what he has in store. Because I am not done. He has a plan and purpose for my life and my home that is beyond what I can even imagine. I believe that. I am also 50 lbs lighter too!!! Glory to God!

I am ready to take on 2015, I am strengthened and I am ready. 2015 is going to be a year of God's Supernatural Manifestation- don't stay behind, don't miss out. He has a plan and purpose for you too!

From a ministry stand point Love to Life has ended this year in Victory. From our Shelter Visits to our Social events we have been able to, by the grace and will of God, connect with many and share the Love found in Jesus Christ.

I wish you all the best in this new year to come, enjoy this last day- give thanks for all that you have and don't have. Tell God you want to leave all the garbage behind- the bad habits, negative thoughts, doubts, fears, and worries. Only Goodness for your life; solid, healthy living. Embrace what is good and what is true- that is the Love of Jesus and what he has done for you. XOXOXO Happy New Year All!!!!!!
